My sister, who sews her own costumes, insisted I join the Dallas Area Fiber Artists group as a way of broadening my horizons. So I went to a meeting, and I am hooked! These ladies are all talented seamstresses, quilters, and even “mixed media maniacs” who welcomed me with open arms and opened minds. The meeting was not focused on one single form of fiber art, but on a wide variety of techniques, both modern and traditional. Plus no one batted an eye when I told them I make dolls, they didn’t kick me out or anything!
As they say... I have found my people.
